A little more etymology: the word "jungle" comes from "jangala", which in Sanskrit means "uncultivated lands". So a jungle is not necessarily a rainforest with creepers; a jungle can be called any shrubbery that is not developed by man. And in modern interpretations, the word gets a whole new color. On the one hand, negative, acting as a metaphor when it comes to an aggressive, insecure environment (the stone jungle – the urban slums, the law of the jungle – total lawlessness and arbitrariness), on the other hand, a new, positive and even fashionable one has appeared in the masses' minds, the image of the jungle when it comes to creating a green oasis in your home or apartment. The Urban Jungle movement originated in 2013 in New York City and continues to gain momentum. Thousands of people living in big cities create their mini-greenhouses to be closer to nature. But this hobby is not new. People at all times loved to decorate the space around them with plants and fresh flowers.
